Updates
What has changed, newest first. The game is still in development. If something behaves differently than it did yesterday, it is probably listed here.
1.24.1
- changed Parse curves re-cut from the last two weeks of runs for Fury, Arms, Enhancement, Affliction, Holy Priest and Holy Paladin.
- changed October's Standard leaderboard rescored under the new curves. Earlier months, Daily runs and anonymous runs keep their numbers.
- changed Holy Paladin 100s and Scores are now measured against real Holy Paladin runs.
- fixed The Priest's Atiesh now counts its 300 healing for Holy Priest.
1.24 Holy Paladin
- added Holy Paladin. Paladin is a two-spec class: one Daily run per class, Holy or Ret.
1.23 Holy Priest
- added Holy Priest, the first healer. Healers score HPS instead of DPS, from their own stat weights. Priest is a two-spec class: one Daily run per class, Holy or Shadow. Healers sit out Duels and Arena for now.
- changed New look for the leaderboard, with pages of 50.
- changed New look for the Guides page, your profile and your achievements.
1.22 Affliction Warlock
- added Affliction Warlock. Warlock is the third class with two specs: one Daily run per class, Affliction or Destruction.
- changed New look for the Daily panel, the Duel and Arena pages and the match screen.
- changed Each class button has its own art, and Duel and Arena pick specs with the front page's tiles.
- changed Leaderboard: pick a class, then its spec.
- changed The Today board now resets at midnight Pacific, with the Daily.
- changed Kiss of the Spider now beats Badge of the Swarmguard for every physical spec. Best-in-slot lists updated. Runs already played keep their scores.
1.21 Enhancement Shaman
- added Enhancement Shaman, and with it the Shaman class. One slow two-hander, mail and leather.
- changed Arena: once all your rounds are in, you can queue for another match. The old one finishes when your opponent does.
- changed Arena: after each round, Play round 2 of 3 takes you straight into the next one.
- changed Duel and Arena legs are now called rounds.
1.20 Frost Mage and WoW Forever
- added Frost Mage. Mage is the second class with two specs: one Daily run per class, Frost or Fire.
- added Arena: queue for a 1v1 duel instead of sending a link. Best of 3 to start, any class, same boards, target dummy. You play every round in a row and the results show when both of you are done. A rating per season and an Arena board; the first season runs to October 31. Queue now: the first matches form when it opens, 24 hours after this patch.
- added A WoW Forever page: what World of Warcraft: Forever changes for gear, and what is coming to 100parse.
- added Dev notes, an FAQ and a This month page with live numbers.
1.19 Arms Warrior
- added Arms Warrior. One slow two-hander, plate. The first class with two specs.
- changed Daily is one run per class per day: a warrior picks Arms or Fury for the day.
- changed Same class duels take either spec of the class, and can be paired with pick each round.
- changed The leaderboard gets a Warrior chip beside Arms and Fury.
1.18.1
- changed Marksmanship Hunter's 100 bar raised and Ret Paladin's parse curve re-cut from the last two weeks of runs. Hunter 100s were three times too common and Ret parses ran twelve points low. Runs already played keep their parses.
1.18 Guides
- added Spec guides: what each spec values, the best set it can draft and the best items for every slot. Guides is in the top bar.
- added Raid loot pages: every boss and its drops, with the specs that want each item.
- added A glossary of the words the site uses.
1.17 Discord and supporters
- added We have a Discord. Link in the top bar and the footer.
- added Supporters can play past daily boards. Practice only: those runs never count for a leaderboard, a streak or a badge.
- changed Patreon supporters get a role and their own channels in the Discord.
1.16 Copy my day and past boards
- added Copy my day: after your Daily runs, one button copies your day as a block for Discord, and Save image gives the same day as a picture.
- added Leaderboards keep past months. Arrows under This month walk back to August, and an All time tab shows the best run ever, one per player per spec.
- changed Standard and Daily boards are separated on the leaderboard page. Pick the board first, then the window.
1.15.3
- fixed Atiesh now has its spell power for Shadow Priest.
1.15.2
- changed Empyrean Demolisher buffed.
- changed The About page explains why item stats use the TBC format.
1.15.1 Duel links
- changed Duel links show a challenge card when pasted, and the scorecard once the duel is done.
1.15 Shadow Priest and duel scorecards
Shadow Priest, duel scorecards, duel records, best 5 boards for daily.
Shadow Priest
Added. Playable in Standard, Daily and Duels. The parse curve is estimated from other casters right now. It'll shift once real runs come in.
Duels
- Duel links now unfurl into a scorecard. Every round, both parses, running series, winner. Save image is under the result.
- Your profile tracks your duel record. Last five results, Rematch button per rival.
- Three duel badges. Duel-icious at 1 win, Duelist at 5, Gladiator at 20.
- Challenge a friend from the results page.
Daily
- Day total and full clear now count your best 5 boards. A 6th board can only replace a worse one.
- A class gets a check once all its specs are done. Your parses show on the class plate.
Fixes
- Leaderboards no longer change order on refresh.
- Icon picker on the profile is a grid now.
- added Shadow Priest.
- added Duel scorecards, duel record, duel badges.
- changed Daily counts your best 5 boards.
- changed Result and duel links carry your Recruit a Friend code.
- fixed Leaderboards stable on refresh.
1.14 Duels
Duels are here. Challenge someone directly, both of you draft, and the higher parse wins.
How it works
- Start a duel, pick your spec and how long the series runs.
- You get a link. Send it to whoever you want to play.
- They open the link, pick their own spec, and accept. They do not need an account.
- Both of you draft. Neither side sees the other's score until you have both finished the round.
- Best of 3 by default. Best of 1 and best of 5 are both options.
Scoring
A round goes to the higher parse. Equal parses go to Draft Score, then DPS, the same order the leaderboard uses. Take the majority of the rounds and you take the duel.
What duels do not affect
Duel runs stay out of the leaderboards, out of your daily streak, out of achievements, and out of your profile's run counts. They also do not feed the parse curves. A duel is between you and the person you sent the link to, and nothing else.
Timing
Nobody has to be online at the same time. A duel that is not accepted, or not finished, expires 7 days after it starts. If one side has played more rounds than the other when that happens, the side that kept playing wins.
- changed Privacy policy updated.
- changed Game mode, class, spec selection updated.
1.13 Ret Paladin
- added Added Paladin, the Ret spec. We do not really know why so many of you wanted this one, but a lot of you did, so here it is. Plate, two-handers only, weights in the warrior family with benefits to intellect and spell power.
- changed Finishing every spec's board now means all six. Full-clear days already earned count exactly as they were.
- changed Rebalanced melee weapon procs for hunters and buffed stat weights.
1.12 Daily
- added Daily mode. Every spec gets its own board each day, built so a near-perfect run is in there if you find it. Boards change at midnight Pacific.
- added One run per spec per day, five in all. Boards share most of their bosses but almost none of their best gear, so each spec is a different puzzle.
- added Three rerolls per daily run. A reroll gives up the boss in front of you and takes the next one. You are not told what is coming.
- added Daily streaks. Finish any daily to keep yours alive; miss a day and it freezes with one last chance to save it. New achievements for streaks, full clears, and playing every spec day after day.
- added Daily leaderboards, ranked within the day: one board per spec, plus a Day total board that adds up every board you finished. Play more classes and get a higher total.
- added Daily share cards show your gear as quality colors only, and your results page hides it from everyone but you until the board closes, so posting your run spoils nothing.
- added Past daily boards are viewable from the leaderboard.
1.11 Recruit a Friend
- added Your profile now has an invite link and code. Send it to a friend, and once they make an account and finish a run you both get the Recruit a Friend icon.
- added Three new icons for bringing in one, two and three friends. Being invited yourself counts as one of them.
- added Signing in with Discord now has a box for an invite code, right beside the button.
- changed The sign out button on your profile is a proper button now.
1.10 Balance, Achievements and Icons
- changed Rebalanced spec parse scores. A 100 is now equally hard on every spec, where before a warlock 100 was almost 3 times easier than a mage one. Overall mage buff: roughly twice as many mage 100s from here. Past runs have been re-scored to match.
- changed Every spec now shares one parse scale, and the bottom of it is lighter. Classes whose runs finish close together were being ranked far more harshly than the rest, which hit warriors worst.
- added Achievements now unlock icons. Every badge you earn is a mark you can wear, and you can pick up to 3 to show beside your name on the leaderboard.
- fixed Pages could show an older version of themselves after an update. Fixed, and there is now a check that catches it if it ever happens again.
1.09 Hunters and Balancing
- changed GearScore is now called Score. Same number, same formula, same colors, new name. It was never item level. It measures how well you actually drafted, and it's what breaks the ties at the top of the board.
- added Hunter class added.
- added Icons. Everyone gets one next to their name. Pick yours on your account page. More are coming and most will be earned by playing.
- changed DPS got rescaled across every spec, so your numbers will look lower than you remember. Your parse, your Score and your spot on the board didn't move.
- changed Hunter numbers are provisional for the first week while real runs come in.
- added Onyxia loot added.
1.08 GearScore
- added GearScore: every finished run now gets a GS. It measures the character you drafted, on one scale for every spec, and it breaks parse ties on the leaderboard. You can see yours on your results page and your account page.
- changed The whole August ladder was rescored under new parse curves built from real runs. Most old 100s are 99s now. Parses are normalized, so a 100 takes the same run on every spec.
- changed The leaderboard shows each player's best run per spec. Your other runs still count for your account stats; the board keeps your best.
- added The leaderboard page has three tabs now: this month, this week and today. The weekly board resets Tuesday at midnight UTC, the way the instances did.
- changed Adjusted parse curves for every spec, built from real player runs.
1.07 Sign in nudges
- changed A perfect run shows a clean 100 now, not 100.0.
- changed Rebalanced weapon speed dps calculation.
- changed Thunderfury's lightning proc is worth a lot more. The blade now stands with the best off-hand weapons for warriors and rogues.
- added Bloodvine Vest, Leggings and Boots now count as a real set: a small bonus at 2 pieces and a bigger one at 3.
- fixed On phones, the spec name ran off the edge of the results card and the patch-notes dot floated away from its link.
- added Finish a run while signed out and the results page now says it plainly: that parse isn't going on the leaderboard. Sign in is right there.
1.06 Accounts and leaderboards
- added Accounts are optional and the game plays the same without one. Sign in with Discord, or create an account with a username, email and password. Your username is your name on the board. Runs played before you sign up stay anonymous and cannot be added to an account later.
- added Your account page shows runs, best parse and best DPS for every spec you have played. You can change your username once a week; it is also how you sign in, so a rename changes what you type at the door. Usernames are filtered and unique. Your email can be changed there too.
- added Forgot your password? Reset it by email from the sign in page. Typo'd your email at signup? Sign in with your username and fix it on your account page.
- added Leaderboards show the top runs of the month. All specs share one board, with filters if you only want to see your own. Finished runs by signed in players are added automatically. Higher parse wins, and ties go to the run further past the bar. Boards reset monthly and past months are kept.
- added The home page shows today's top runs, with a link to the full leaderboard.
- added Every board row has a report button. Use it if a run looks impossible.
- added A Patreon is now open. The site stays free and supporting is optional. Early supporters get a permanent badge when badges launch.
- added Results pages occasionally ask one feedback question. Answers go straight to the team.
- changed Draft Again on the results page starts a new run with the same spec. Change Spec returns to the picker.
- changed Results pages show your name when you are signed in.
- changed A 100 parse now takes the same luck and skill on every spec. Each spec's bar is set from three days of real runs, so roughly 1 finished run in 200 earns a 100.
- changed Parses mean the same thing on every spec. Each spec's curve is adjusted to real player skill, so a typical run parses in the same range on any spec.
- changed Damage numbers now follow the classic meter order: warrior, mage, rogue, warlock. Item choices and parse difficulty are unchanged.
- fixed Restarting a run while signed in created the new run without your name, so it did not count as yours.
1.05m Expertise buff and a stuck run fix
- changed Rewrote the how to play, about, privacy and contact pages. No rules changed.
- changed Expertise is now worth the same as hit for warriors and rogues. Weapons like Maladath are better as a result.
- fixed A dropped connection right after a pick could leave a run stuck with no loot to click. A Try Again button now continues the run where it stopped.
- fixed Some pages showed leftover developer notes as page text.
1.04 The warlock and a bigger database
- added Destruction Warlock is playable. It shares cloth gear with the mage. Stamina matters because of Life Tap, spirit does not. Tier sets are Felheart and Nemesis.
- changed Moved to a larger database. All runs and share links were kept.
1.03 Trinkets and quest rewards
- fixed Most trinkets were worth zero, so the two trinket slots were not a real choice. On use trinkets now have values, including Zandalarian Hero Charm, Hibernation Crystal and Talisman of Ephemeral Power.
- changed Quests that give several rewards for the same slot now show only the one for your spec. This covers Ossirian's four necklaces, Hakkar's three trinkets and the three Signet Rings. Onyxia and Nefarian still give all three of theirs because those are different slots.
- fixed Hovering an item could show the wrong tooltip when two items share a name. Most noticeable on the Signet Rings.
- changed Removed the Ahn'Qiraj quest weapons from the Ancient Qiraji Artifact. They never beat anything on a Temple board.
- changed Removed Mark of the Champion for now. It only works on undead and demons.
- changed Nightfall, Arcanite Reaper, Heartseeker and Frostguard no longer drop from bosses.
1.02 Quest rewards
- added 34 quest reward items: Onyxia's Tooth Pendant and Dragonslayer's Signet, Mark of the Champion from Kel'Thuzad, the Shifting Sands necklaces from Ossirian, the Zandalarian trinkets from Hakkar, the Master Dragonslayer set from Nefarian, and the Blessed Qiraji weapons in Ahn'Qiraj.
- changed Ahn'Qiraj quest rewards now show only what your spec can use. Melee get the weapons, casters get the staves and the caster ring.
- changed Parse scale rebalanced for the new items. A 100 parse is now a fixed DPS target instead of beating every simulated run.
- fixed The percent of theoretical BIS figure was measured against a set with an empty second ring, second trinket and off hand.
1.01 Reliability
- fixed Occasional Request failed errors when taking an item. Requests now retry once on their own.
- fixed Item tooltips were missing from the results page.
- fixed On phones the Restart button ran off the screen and tier counters were cut off.
1.00 Raid odds and results
- changed World bosses are much rarer. Onyxia appears more than twice as often, Zul'Gurub slightly less.
- changed The results page is now a character sheet, with your gear shown around the parse.
- added Copy link and save image buttons on the results page.
